Charlee Durant doesn’t believe in putting down roots. As a Respiratory Therapist, she has worked in ER’s in eight different cities in the last ten years. Moving keeps her aloof and as far away from where she grew up as possible. No one need know that Charlee easily identifies with the welfare-patients that pass through every ER she has worked. All that, however, is flopped on its head when the arrival of a package containing Charlee’s recently deceased mother’s photographs heralds the arrival of her sister, Bobbi, a single-mother-of-two-teenagers, and her brother, Russ, fresh from re-hab, and his young girlfriend, Amber. Charlee’s tiny apartment cannot contain this impromptu family reunion in addition to the ghost that accompanies her mother’s photographs. Moving can only get you so far and Charlee is about to be tied not only to her past, but her future as well.
